Foxbarn successfully launched the UDIZINE range in the UK, at the 2007 In-Store Show. The interest generated during the show led to their first large project using this innovative system and provided the inspiration for the re-design of the Portsmouth Football Club’s Official Mega-Store. Recognising the potential of the system and viewing images of the products in similar sport store settings like Nike in Israel, it was decided this was the perfect solution for this project.

The Portsmouth FC designers approached Foxbarn with a very specific concept and design of how the finished store should look. The fixtures to display the clothing and sports accessories needed to be visually appealing with flexible functionality and of course cost effective. The fixtures supplied from the UDIZINE range were versatile and gave the store the upscale, modern look they wanted.

The design objective was to create an open retail space with the look and feel of something new and different. A classier look to the traditional premiership football club official stores, creating a stylish store with displays of the clubs home & away replica kits as well as match day kits and accessories was achieved.

"UDIZINE products provided an economical solution for creating something new and stylish. The FreeWall in particular was a good product to use as we could place these wherever we wanted. The finished display was aesthetically more appealing than traditional slatwall and allows the product to be the focus rather than the traditional slatwall which creates visual clutter.
